Happy Houseplants Kit Modified for my Next In-Person/Make at Home Classes

Hello and welcome to my blog! Introducing my next In-Person Classes or Make at Home Kits Class. This class is $30 for the In-Person Class and includes the Happy Houseplants kit that has the frames in it. First the schedule:

Sunday, May 5th  at 2:00  6 openings

Monday, May 6th at 12:00 This class is full.

Monday,  May 6th at 5:00  3 openings

Thursday, May 9th at 12:30  3 openings

Stampin' Up! has a kit called Happy Houseplants that's a cute kit with plants, but I decided I wanted to modify it. Here are 2 pictures showing the original kit and the pieces you receive in the kit.

Below are the modifications I have made to the kit. Actually, I completely redid it using the frames that are included in the kit. Each kit included 4 frames, but I'm only using 3 of them for my class.

This first frame uses the dies from the Magnolia Mood die set. I also embossed the background piece with the Distressed Tiles Embossing Folder with Basic Gray ink applied to the folder before embossing.

This next one is made with the Zinnia Dies.

This last frame was made with the Easter Lily Dies that retire at the end of this month. I also added a doily behind the lily.

If you would like to take this class in person, please contact me as soon as possible.

For Make at Home Kits, order the kit from the link below and I'll send you all the die cuts for the flowers. The total will be $10 for the pieces and shipping. Deadline is Monday, May 6th to order the kits. Paypal or a check is accepted for payment. Just respond to this email and let me know if you would like the die cuts.

In-Person Card Classes or Kits to Make at Home Coming up Next Week

Hello and welcome to my blog! My In-Person Classes, or kits to make at home, are coming up next week. The 3 cards you will make feature 2 bundles from the new Annual Catalog and 1 Online Exclusive bundle (which means you can't find it in a catalog). You'll make 3 all occasions cards, and the in-person cost is $20 or free with a $30 order. This includes printed instructions and envelopes. The schedule is as follows:

How to Make a Layered Magnolia with the Magnolia Mood Dies for the Crafty Collaborations Stampin' Dream Blog Hop

Hello, and welcome to my blog! Today I'm hopping with a talented group of Stampin' Up! Crafty Collaborations demonstrators. Our theme today is florals, which is an easy one for me as I love making cards with flowers. The bundle I'm using is the Magnolia Mood that's an online exclusive set. I have links to all the supplies I used at the bottom of my post.

Let's take a look at some of the highlights of my card, then you can download a free tutorial and also view my YouTube video showing how to construct this card. The card base is Soft Sea Foam cardstock with a Basic White piece (4" x 5 1/4") that was stamped in Soft Sea Foam with the magnolia pod stamp, then embossed with the Fern Embossing Folder.

A strip of Soft Sea Foam ribbon was adhered to the bottom of the Basic White piece before that piece was adhered to the card base. Happy birthday was stamped in Melon Mambo on a Basic White strip cut from a die from Labels Aglow (on sale now for $16.50 while supplies last).

Two magnolias were cut with the gorgeous dies from the Magnolia Mood die set. On the bottom die cut, I colored the leaves, only, with the Old Olive Blends. The buds on the bottom die cut were colored with the Bubble Bath and Melon Mambo Blends. The flowers on the other die cut were colored with the same blends with the center colored with the Dark Daffodil Delight Blend. The leaves were then cut off the die cut that I colored just the magnolia. The magnolia was then adhere to the bottom one with dimensionals, then adhered to the center of the card front.

 A few Tinsel Gems were scattered around.

Hooray for Surprises provided the stamp for the inside along with another Magnolia Mood stamp.
