5 Days of Christmas- Day 2 Sophisticated Sled Christmas Card

Sophisticated-Sled-Christmas-Stampin-Up

Hello and welcome to my blog and Day 2! Today I'm sharing with you a card made with the Sophisticated Sled Bundle. This is a really cool bundle, but living in Florida, I struggled a little with the sled and the skates. We don't have those down here! lol!

Let's take a look at the card, then you can download your free tutorial and watch a YouTube video showing the construction of this card.

I'm calling this a double tent card, since I made two tents and connected them to each other to form the card.

Here's a close up of the sled and skates with the greenery.

These are all the pieces you have to cut to make the ice skates. Note that the laces slide into the slit on the boot.

Below are the pieces to construct the sled. I used a piece from Country Woods for the sled. I think I might have put this sled together with the wood piece backwards. On my original card above, it appears to be correct.

This is the back of the card. The sled is from Sophisticated Sled and the Merry Christmas is from Greetings of the Season.

5 Days of Christmas- Day 1 Frozen Edges Bundle

Christmas-Frozen-Edges-Bundle-Stampinp-Up

Hello and welcome to my blog and Day 1 of my 5 days of Christmas Cards! Today's post features the awesome Frozen Edges Bundle. For this card I only used 2 pieces of cardstock, Thick Basic White and Cherry Cobbler. Thick Basic White is the 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card base. I cut the snowflakes from a 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" piece of Cherry Cobbler. The snowflakes were stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. Below are several pictures of the card, after which are links to my video and your free tutorial.

More Details about the Monthly Crafty Toolbox

What is a Crafty Toolbox?

It's a collection of Stampin' Up! crafting supplies you'll need to complete your crafting projects! An assortment of current crafting supplies such as embellishments, ribbons, adhesives, spritzers, glue dots, water painter, daubers, Blender Pens, embossing powders, envelopes, etc. will be inside each kit. You  don’t know what you’ll get each month. It will be a happy surprise!

How often will I receive the Toolbox?

Each month you will receive an assortment of products valued at $20 or more.

Will there be any recurring products?

Yes, there are. What you WILL receive each month is one Blends Combo Pack (a different color each month) and a sheet of dimensionals (total $10 value). I’ll also send you one handmade card.

There is also another option. You can choose to receive an ink spot with the matching reinker instead of a Blends Combo. Yay, choices!!

How long am I obligated?

There is no obligation, BUT, for every 6 months you subscribe, you will receive a special gift valued at around $10. You can stop your subscription at any time.

How much does it cost?

This happy little toolbox is only $25, which includes $5 for shipping, so you’re getting $25 in supplies for $20! If you live locally and will pick up your Toolbox, then the cost is $20.

How do I pay?

Payment is by PayPal, check, or cash. If paying by check, your Toolbox will be mailed after your check clears.

What is the deadline to sign up each month?

Orders and payments need to be placed by the 15th of each month. Your Toolbox will be mailed around the 25th.

How do I sign up?

Click on the box below to fill out the form to sign up. You will need to pick the option to subscribe for 6 months or month to month. With either option, you will receive an invoice each month to pay for that month's Toolbox.

Santa Bag for the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I'm joining a group of talented demonstrators from the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop Facebook group. Our theme today is "Something Other than a Card"! My team held a Holiday Extravaganza a couple of weeks ago and my project was a Santa Bag, so that's what I'm sharing with you today.

This bag is very simple. Purchase some faux fur from a craft store along with red bags. Cut a piece to go down the middle and adhere to the bag. Cut a piece of Basic Black the width of your bag and, according to how large your bag is, about 2 1/2" wide. My piece is 8 1/4" x 2 1/2".

Next, add the gold buckle. My piece is 3 1/2" x 3". On top of that add a 1 3/4" x 2" piece of Basic Black to complete the buckle.

This picture of my team member, Judy Weston, holding the bag gives you an idea of the size.

To make this tag, you need a Basic White scalloped circle, a smaller Petal Pink circle, a Poppy Parade triangle, and a large tag to adhere the head to. The ball on the hat is a 1/2" circle punch, a small circle of Petal Pink is the nose, and the eyes are small Basic Black circles. You could use small goggle eyes instead. The rim on the hat is white glimmer paper punched with a scalloped edge punch.  I folded the Basic White scalloped circle in half and stamped To and From on the inside.

The participants who attended our event loved this bag, and I hope you do, too. Please take a minute and check out the awesome projects of the other demonstrators. Thank you for my visiting blog. Beginning Monday I will introduce my 5 Days of Christmas Cards. You don't want to miss it!
