Hello and welcome to Kylie Bertucci's International Winners Blog Hop! Today I'm joining Kylie Bertucci and a group of very talented demonstrators for a blog hop around the world. I'm so excited to be participating in the Top Ten International Highlights Winners Blog Hop! I earned this honor with my card, Rustic Crate, which earned Fifth Place! I am honored that so many of you voted for my card. Thank you so much.
This card that I'm sharing with you today is made using the fractured card technique. This is a technique that has been making its rounds around the internet lately. I started out with a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Shining Brightly Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Next, I stamped my sentiment on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in Night of Navy ink. I then cut this out with a die from Stylish Shapes dies and adhered it to the center of the designer series paper.
The next strip is adhered to the lower right side starting with the end of the strip next to the first strip.
The third strip is adhered to the lower left side of your sentiment, starting with the end of the strip up next to your second strip.
And, your last strip is adhered up against the upper left side of your sentiment.
Next, trim the edges on all sides of your designer series paper. I then adhered this piece to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Night of Navy folded in half.
For a little extra embellishment, I cut a butterfly out of gold foil with a die from Designer Tags.
As you can see, this is a simple card to make, and I hope you will give it a try. I've provided links below to all the products I used.
Here are 2 other cards I have made using the fractured card technique. My customers will be making these cards at my next card classes.
