Next In-Person Classes and a Sneak Peek at Some New Products

Hello and welcome to my blog! The holidays are, sadly, almost over and it's time to start back to card classes. My In-Person Classes will start Sunday, January 5th and continue that week. I'll be introducing some new online exclusive products and products from the new Mini Catalog.

Class cost is $25 or free with a $35 order. You will make 3 cards and receive envelopes and printed instructions. The schedule and openings are as follows.

Sunday, January 5th at 2:00  5 openings
Monday, January 6th at 12:00 This class is full.
Thursday, January 9th at 12:00  3 openings
Thursday, January 9th at 5:00  6 openings

Let's take a look at the lovely cards you will make.

This first card is made with the unique Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing folder (it cuts and embossing at the same time), stamp set and dies. We also have new glimmer paper called Pastel Ombre Glimmer in blues, lavenders, and yellow/greens.

This is the very front cut with a unique die that cuts on the fold.

Check out how the embossing folder embosses the whole front piece.

The next card is made with Happy Hibiscus Bundle, which is also a hybrid set found in our Online Exclusives.

And the third card is made with a new circle dies set called Around It All Dies. The circles are described at abstract, irregular circles as you can see by the shapes. I used the Winter Meadow Designer Series paper for the deer.

Some of the supplies I used are available now, but the others won't be available until January 7th.

Let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in attending so I will have supplies cut for you. Contact me if you would like to discuss receiving kits for these cards.

Hope to hear from you! (PS I had a routine colonoscopy today and my head still isn't clear, so excuse any typos!)

More Details about the Monthly Crafty Toolbox

What is a Crafty Toolbox?

It's a collection of Stampin' Up! crafting supplies you'll need to complete your crafting projects! An assortment of current crafting supplies such as embellishments, ribbons, adhesives, spritzers, glue dots, water painter, daubers, Blender Pens, embossing powders, envelopes, etc. will be inside each kit. You  don’t know what you’ll get each month. It will be a happy surprise!

How often will I receive the Toolbox?

Each month you will receive an assortment of products valued at $20 or more.

Will there be any recurring products?

Yes, there are. What you WILL receive each month is one Blends Combo Pack (a different color each month) and a sheet of dimensionals (total $10 value). I’ll also send you one handmade card.

There is also another option. You can choose to receive an ink spot with the matching reinker instead of a Blends Combo. Yay, choices!!

How long am I obligated?

There is no obligation, and you can stop your subscription at any time.

How much does it cost?

This happy little toolbox is only $25, which includes $5 for shipping, so you’re getting $25 in supplies for $20! If you live locally and will pick up your Toolbox, then the cost is $20.

How do I pay?

Payment is by PayPal, check, or cash. If paying by check, your Toolbox will be mailed after your check clears.

Shaker Card using Snowy Wonder Dies and Yuletide Village Stamp Set

Snowy-Wonder-Dies-Yuletide-Village-Stamp-Set-Christmas-Shaker-Card-Stampin-Up

Hello and welcome to my blog! Want to learn to make a cute and easy shaker card? Well, my goal today is to show you just that. This shaker card is made with the dies from Snowy Wonder and the images are from Yuletide Village stamp set. I have posted several pictures of the card, and there are links below for a free tutorial with all the dimensions, and also a link to a video showing you how to make this card.

The card base is Thick Basic White with a layer of Wild Wheat cardstock and Regal Distressed Patterns Designer Series Paper. To make the shaker part, adhere the Wild Wheat piece and the Regal Distressed Patterns piece together.

Put them on the card front with removable tape and cut with the Snowy Wonder snow globe die. Separate the card base from the front 2 layers. Adhere a 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" window sheet to the back of the Wild Wheat piece. Make a circle around the opening with a piece of thick adhesive strips. Fill the center with snowflakes and adhere another window sheet over the snowflakes.  Tada! You've made the shaker part.

Adhere the shaker part to the card front with thick dimensional strips. You can see them from the side in the picture below.

The circle was cut from Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper with the 8th from the smallest Deckled Circle Die. To color the church, I applied ink to a block, picked the ink up with Wink of Stella, and colored the church. In the free tutorial you can download below, I explain each color I used. The church was cut out with scissors and adhered to a set of trees cut out of white glimmer paper with a die from Frosted Forest. Dimensionals were used to adhere them to the circle, and the circle was adhered to the card inside, so it shows through the opening.

I go through all these steps in my video you can view below.
