Gorgeous Garden Dies Thank You Card for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights Winners Hop

Hello and welcome to Kylie Bertucci's International Winners Blog Hop! Today I'm joining Kylie Bertucci and a group of very talented demonstrators for a blog hop around the world. I'm so excited to be participating in the Top Ten International Highlights Winners Blog Hop! I earned this honor with my card, Earthen Textures Vases, which earned First Place! I am honored that so many of you voted for my card.  Thank you so much.

The card I'm sharing with you today highlights the Gorgeous Garden Dies. There are 2 dies in this set, and I chose the one with the leaves for my card. My card base is a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Lost Lagoon Cardstock. The Gorgeous Garden Die was used to cut a piece of designer series paper from the Earthen Elegance paper pack. This is the piece I used.

I then adhered the die-cut piece on top of a piece of 4" x 5 1/2" Lost Lagoon piece from the Soft Shimmer Paper Combo Pack.

Here's a close up how the two pieces look layered together. I think they make a beautiful combination.  

My sentiment was embossed with gold embossing powder on a scrap piece of Lost Lagoon. It was then layered on top of a punched scalloped oval that was punched out of the Textured Shimmer Paper with the Double Oval Punch.

The gorgeous flowers were cut from the Vellum Specialty paper with the Paper Florist Die set. This is the paper I used and closeups of the flower sets.

If you take a peek of the inside, you can see I stamped a leaf in there from the Layering Leaves stamp set.

Delightful Doily Book-Bind Fold for the Crafty Collaborations Birthday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! Thanks for stopping by. Today I'm hopping with a talented group of demonstrators in the Crafty Collaborations Birthday Blog Hop. If you need some ideas for birthday cards, you're in the right place. 

The card I'm sharing with you today features the Delightful Doily hybrid embossing folder (it embosses and cuts at the same time) and the gorgeous Tahitian Tide cardstock and Textured Specialty paper. I'll hit the highlights of my card, and below are links to a free tutorial you can download and my YouTube video.

I started with a cardbase of Tahitian Tide cardstock 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2" and 4 1/4". The 1 1/4" left section was adhered together to form the book bind. A 4" x 4" piece of Tahitian Tide Textured Specialty paper was embossed with the Delightful Doily embossing folder and adhere to the front.  I cut a 1" piece of Vellum Specialty paper with one of the Elegant Borders dies and adhered to the book bind area.

Another 4" x 4" piece of the vellum was cut with the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing folder giving the doily pictured below. The border that was cut out I adhered to the card inside. It was too pretty to throw away. The Happy Birthday was cut with the awesome Wanted to Say dies.

I also cut the doily outline out of Basic White and stamped my sentiment from Beside Me in Tahitian Tide and adhered inside the cut-out part of the vellum.
