Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm Stamping with Friends and our theme is products from our Annual Catalog. Many times these stamp sets and products are forgotten about when our mini-catalogs come out, so we're giving some love to those sets.
The stamp set I'm featuring is Forever Fern and the faux double stamping on vellum technique. I call it "faux" because I altered the double stamping on vellum technique.
So, what is double stamping on vellum, you ask? It's a technique where you stamp your images on the front of a sheet of vellum in VersaMark and heat emboss with embossing powder. I chose white embossing powder. The next step is to stamp on the back of the vellum, the same images, in colored ink, then adhere the vellum to a piece of cardstock. Where I altered the technique is I decided to adhere a piece of designer series paper to the back of the vellum instead of stamping. That's how I achieved the look below.
Here is the paper I adhered beneath the vellum. It's from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series pack.
