Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm featuring card #3 in a three-part series of Father's Day Card. Today's card features a toolbox inside and is made with the Trusty Tools Bundle, which is on sale an additional 10% off the month of June. Below are several pictures of my card. Below the pictures are links to a free tutorial you can download with all the measurements, and also a link to my YouTube video giving you all the details to help you put this card together.
The Pebbled Path piece was embossed with the Metal Plate Embossing Folder.
The next layer is a Real Red piece embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder and adhered to a Basic Black piece.
On top of the Real Red piece is the pegboard cut out of Pecan Pie cardstock with a die from Trusty Tools.
The sentiment is layered on circles cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies.
This cute drill was also cut with dies from Trusty Tools. That completes the front. Now let's look at the inside.
The sentiment was stamped on Basic White with a strip of Trusty Tools designer series paper adhered down the side. This piece needs to go in first.
The mechanism to hold the toolbox is a Basic Black 4" x 2" piece scored at 1", 2", and 3". To better see it, I cut a white piece to demonstrate it. Below are the steps to show you how to adhere it to the inside.
This is how it looks inside your card with the toolbox attached.
I stamped the hammer and wrench on Smoky Slate and Real Red. Next, I cut the Real Red handles off and attached them to the Smoky Slate heads of the tools.
The toolbox was attached to the Basic Black rectangle with dimensionals. That completes our card. Don't forget, there's a link below to watch my video.
