Hello and welcome to my blog. I've made this beautiful thank you card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. The card I'm sharing with you today highlights the Lighting the Way Bundle. I love this bundle because of the lantern and the fireflies, or as we call them where I live, lightning bugs. On a good night, you can actually see them around here. When I was a child, we would catch them and put them in a jar to watch them glow, then let them go.

I decided to use the Labels Aglow to give the illusion of the lightning bugs flying around. The lightning bugs wings were cut from vellum and adhered to Daffodil Delight lightning bugs, after I colored their middle sections with the Basic Black Blend.

The lantern was cut from the Distressed Gold Specialty paper for an antique look. The Labels Aglow dies, behind and around the lantern, give it the suggestion of glowing. That is Daffodil Delight paper peeking through the holes.  I finished off the bottom with the optional gold ribbon, depending on who the recipient would be.
