Birthdays and Butterflies and a Card for the SUOC #215 Challenge-Birthdays

I already know you are wondering what SUOC stands for-Stampin' Up! Only Challenges. As my customers know, I am a Stampin' Up! only supplies person. Why not use the best when it comes to stamps, card stock, ink, dies, etc.!

Back to my #SUOC215 challenge card. This card came from my love of butterflies and the gorgeous Floral Romance Designer Series Paper, especially the vellum pieces. The floral piece in the middle of the card is a sheet of lovely vellum. Also, I'm so in love with the new Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder. My lucky customers will get to make this lovely card at my next card classes, so I hope you are signed up!
I also finished the inside to reflect the birthday theme.
To create this card:
Cardstock:      Fresh Fig 4 ¼” x 11”
                        Whisper White 5 ¼” x 4” (2), 5 ¼” x 2”, 2” strips
                        Floral Romance DSP 5 ¼” x 2”

1.    Fold card base in half.
2.    Emboss white piece with Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder.  Adhere to card front.
3.    Adhere vellum designer series paper to matching white piece and adhere to card
       front.
4.    Stamp butterflies and butterfly body on white paper with VersaMark and heat
       emboss with black embossing powder.
5.    Sponge butterflies with a dauber using Fresh Fig ink.  Start in the center making it
darker then lighter out on the wings. Highlight with clear Wink of Stella. Adhere to
       card front.
6.    Stamp sentiment on Whisper white in Fresh Fig and cut out with Stitched Labels
framelit. Adhere to bottom right of card front with dimensionals.
7.    Stamp the inside as designed in Fresh Fig.
8.    Cut 2 decorative flourishes out of Fresh Fig cardstock with Be Mine Stitched
framelits.  Adhere to top and bottom of inside piece.  Adhere Whisper White piece to
       card inside.

Maybe you know someone who would be deserving of this birthday card!

Valentine's Card for the TGIFC196 Challenge

Who says Valentine's Day cards have to be red? Not me! I decided to go with a soft pink and include the beautiful vellum designer series paper from Stampin' Up! from the Floral Romance collection. Over at TGIF Challenge, the challenge is to use designer series paper on your card, #tgifc196.
Powder Pink and Whisper White are the 2 colors I used on this soft Valentine's Day Card. The vellum designer series paper layered over a piece of Whisper White is the star of this card.  I'm also in love with the Be Mine Stitched Framelits and the Wonderful Floral Framelits, which cut the beautiful leaf design down the right side of the card.

To create this card:
Cardstock:  Powder Pink 5 ½” x 8 ½”
                    Floral Romance DSP 2 ½” x 5 ½”
                   White 5 ½” x 4 1/8” (front piece)
                   Whisper White 5” x 3 ¾” (inside piece)
Whisper White 2 ½” strips to cut hearts

1.     Fold card base in half.
2.     Cut larger white piece with leaf edgelit die. Adhere to card front with leaves even with the right edge.
3.     Adhere vellum paper to white piece.
4.     Stamp sentiment on white strip and cut with matching heart dies. Cut lace heart die from white strip. Adhere heart to card front.

I hope you like this card as much as I do!

Valentine's Day Card for Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #323

This Valentine's Day card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card sketch PCC323 challenge. Click here to check out their blog and below is a picture of the sketch.
When I think of Valentine's Day Cards, my first thought is always pretty, prissy, and lacy, therefore, I felt the Meant to Be bundle fit my vision. Below is my card.
The new Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is both pretty and lacy and I love the lacy dies in the Meant to Be Stitched Framelits dies. The Detailed Trio punch finishes off the corners in a special way.

Of course the inside has to be special, too. Accented Blooms provided the perfect saying. There's another one of the Meant to Be Stitched Framelits inside, the string of hearts. I repeated the finished edge of the front Very Vanilla piece.

To create this card:
Cardstock:  Lovely Lipstick 8 ½” x 5 ½”, 3 ¾” square
                  Very Vanilla 5” x 3 ¾”, 5 ¼” x 4”, 2 ¾” square

1.     Fold card base in half. Round corners.
2.     Punch corners of both Very Vanilla pieces with the 3 tear
drops then with the rounded corner.
3.     Cut Lovely Lipstick large heart, cutting inside and
        the scalloped edge.
4.     Temporarily attached large heart, only, to Very
Vanilla Piece. Emboss with Lace embossing folder.
Adhere Very Vanilla piece to card front.
5.     Remove large heart from Very Vanilla piece and
adhere dimensionals to the back.  Stick back on
        lining up the embossed pattern.
6.     Cut lacey heart from Very Vanilla and adhere to red
heart. Adhere large heart outline on top.
7.     Stamp sentiment on Very Vanilla with Lovely
Lipstick and punch with Word Window punch. Punch
a Lovely Lipstick piece with Modern Label punch.
Adhere the 2 together. Adhere across hearts with
        dimensionals.
8.     Stamp inside piece, cut hearts from Lovely Lipstick
and adhere to bottom of Very Vanilla piece. Adhere
        to inside of card.
