Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper Card #1 Featuring Spruce Trees and an Easel Card

Hello and welcome to my blog and my series of 6 cards featuring the Thoughtful Journey 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. This pack of designer series paper has four sheets of 12 different designs, and I group them in sets of 2 to make my 6 cards.

Card #1 features the beautiful sheet that feature spruce trees and a beautiful watercolor sheet that coordinates with it. Let's take a look at the card then you can download a free tutorial with all the dimensions and written instructions. Also, there is a link to my YouTube Channel with a video constructing this card.

First, a couple of views of the card from the front.

This side view shows the easel stand.

The inside of the card features another piece of the designer series paper. The sentiment piece and border around it were cut with dies from Perennial Postage.

Here you can see the texture the Birch Wood Embossing Folder adds to the card. The birds, from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies and Birds item #162743 were gold, but I colored them with a Basic Black Blend.

Learn to use the Changing Leaves Hybrid 3D Embossing Folder for the Crafty Collaborations Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm hopping with a talented group of demonstrators and the Crafty Collaborations Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. Our theme this month is Autumn/Fall. My card features the awesome Changing Leaves Hybrid 3D Embossing Folder and bundle. Let's take a look at some features of the card, then you can download a free tutorial with all the measurements and instructions. I also have a link to my YouTube video showing the construction of this card.

Wild Wheat and Berry Burst cardstock are the featured colors of this card. Wild Wheat ink, I have found, works beautifully with gold foil. You get the look of gold embossing powder without the embossing, just by stamping!

From this angle you can see this card has a different fold in that I cut off 2 1/8" off the front flap to make my fold. Countryside Corners dies were used to make the Berry Burst section and the inside piece. 

Here I used a variety of papers, Berry Burst Glimmer Paper and Gold Foil, to add some texture. Check out the beautiful design the embossing folder makes. All the leaves and sprigs were cut with dies from the Changing Leaves Bundle.

September Make-at-Home Card Kits with the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper

Hello and welcome to my blog. This month I'm offering a set of 6 card kits you can make in the comfort of your home. The kits will come with a written tutorial and all the cardstock and dies cuts needed to make the 6 cards. These cards were designed with the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper and each set was made with one-fourth of the pack of paper. Each card uses 2 of the 12 designs resulting in the 6 cards. Envelopes are also included. As per Stampin' Up!'s policy, I can't include any stamped images.

The cost of the kits is $50 (this includes shipping) or free with a $50 order.
