Color and Contour Card

Hi, Crafty-Happy People!
I designed this card around two Challenges:
Global Design Project #289  #GDP289 in which you had to use the 3 selected colors

and Paper Craft Crew Tic Tac Toe Challenge #424 PCC424 in which you could choose any 3 items down, across, or diagonally. I went with 3 down: floral, embossing, and any shade or green.

My card base is Coastal Cabana (a shade of green). I embossed the card front with the beautiful Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder after I adhered the Bumblebee piece cut with a Scalloped Contour die.

My floral piece, from the Color and Contour stamp set, was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black then stamped over with the coordinating fill-in stamp in Magenta Madness ink. I colored the leaves with the Light Shaded Spruce Blend. The spots were stamped with Coastal Cabana ink. A Bumblebee bow was added.

I hope you like my card. Thank you for visiting my blog and come back soon!

All Occasions Cards for Next Classes-Pansy, Brilliant Butterflies, Pop n' Flip Flowers

Hi, Everyone!
My All Occasions Cards Classes are coming up next week, and we'll be using a bunch of new products from the new Annual Catalog! You'll make 3 cards and the cost is $15, which includes envelopes and printed instructions. All you need to bring are your scissors and favorite adhesives (I have those for purchase if you don't have any or need some). The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, May 6th  12:00  3 openings
Thursday, May 6th  5:00   3 openings
Saturday, May 8th   12:00  4 openings

Now let's take a look at the cards you will make, and if you cannot attend my classes, I have added a link for you to download a free tutorial.

This first card is made with the new Scalloped Contours dies and Flowers and Leaves punch. I don't know if you can see it in the picture, but the flowers are made with the new Shimmer Vellum. You should see it in person! It is beautiful and is so, so shimmery!

This next card was made with the beautiful Brilliant Wings butterfly dies. I also used 3 of the new In Colors: Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Fresh Freesia. A stamp from Very Versailles (the leaves) and Blossoms in Bloom (the flowers at the bottom) were used on the background, with a little water coloring.

Yes, we have a Pansy Die in the new Annual Catalog! I used the Scallop Contours dies, again, on this card. That piece of designer series paper is from the Hydrangea Hill pack.

Let me know what day and time you would like to attend, but if you can't, and would like instructions, please enjoy the free tutorials.

Rainbow Glimmer Paper for #TGIFC313 Inspiration Challenge

Hi, Crafty-Happy Stampers!
Today's card is an entry for #TGIFC313 Inspiration Challenge, all about cats and dogs. Cats, that's all about me! I have had cats my whole life and presently have 5. I'll show you a few of them after I present my card.
This card starts with a Basic Black card base of 11" x 4 1/4". I next added a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of our gorgeous Rainbow Glimmer paper. If you haven't seen this paper before, you  need to check it out. This piece I used came from the section that has the green tones blending into the blues and purples. The rest of the glimmer paper blends into the colors of the rainbow, thus the name.

I punched out a white moon from some retired Sparkle Glimmer paper with a 2 1/4" Circle Punch and a black cat with our Cat punch. Friendly Silhouettes dies provided the cattails for the cat to hide behind. The Well Written dies simply say happy birthday. I also added a bow across the bottom from Mint Macaron ribbon.
Perfect birthday card for a cat lover, like me. Below are CT, on the left, and S'more on the right. CT got her name from her tail as she was born with a crooked tail. We found her in my brother's closet about 12 years ago, and bottle fed her. Her mom had found a hole in the back wall of the closet and placed her litter of 4 there. We found homes for the other 3.

I came up with S'more's name 2 ways: she looks like the inside of a S'more and I got her from my neighbors, who had a bunch of kittens. I had already gotten 3 from them, but decided I needed some more!! They are not related, but love to hang out together.
This big boy is Mink. I thought his coat looked like mink, hence the name. He's the only boy of the group of 5.

This pretty girl is Mink's sister, Paisley. Her name came from the weird fur design around her eye that resembles a paisley design. The only cat missing is Onyx, who is solid black, and very camera shy. These 4 are only 5 years old.

So now you know the story of me and my cats, but I hope you like my card along with my cat stories.

This is really a very simple, but beautiful card. Unfortunately, all the supplies I used on this card, except the Basic Black cardstock, Rainbow Glimmer paper, and cat punch, have sold out. The Cat punch will retire Monday. Hopefully, you may already own these and will be able to make this card.

Thanks for checking out my blog!

Friends are Like Seashells for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights Winners Hop

Hi, Everyone!
First, I want to say I'm so excited to be participating, again, in the Top Ten International Highlights Winners Blog Hop April, 2021, hosted by Kylie Bertucci! I earned this honor with my card, Tranquil Dies, placing in the top 10 of Kylie's April, 2021 International Highlights (actually, second place, thanks to your votes). Thank you to everyone who voted for my card!

Our theme is Thank You, and that's something we sometimes don't hear enough. I remember my mom staying on me when I graduated from high school about writing those Thank You notes for my graduation gifts. Back then, I didn't realize how much a simple thank you note meant.

Since I only live about 2 hours from the beautiful beaches of the Panhandle of Florida and Panama City Beach, I thought it only appropriate to use the Friends are like Seashells Bundle from the January-June Mini Catalog.

I used vellum for my background piece. Ink from Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green reinkers were spread around on one side of the vellum with alcohol in a water painter, embossed with the Seashells embossing folder, and, for a special touch, sprayed with Frost White Shimmer paint mixed with alcohol.

The seashells were stamped, cut with the coordinating die, and embossed with the Seashells embossing folder. I then cut them apart and adhered them to the bottom right corner. The extra shell I had left, I adhered to the inside of the card.

For complete instructions, click on the box below for a free download.

I hope you like my card and will come back to visit my blog. Please take a minute to visit the blogs of the other winners listed below.

Posted for You Bay Window Card for the Share it Sunday Blog Hop

Hi, Fellow Card Makers!
Today I'm hopping along with a global group of fellow Stampin' Up demonstrators. Blogs are a great way to check out a variety of and awesome card ideas. So let's get hopping along.
The card I'm featuring today is a bay window, fancy-fold card made with the Posted for You Bundle you can find in our Annual Catalog, both the catalog retiring and the new one come out May 4th. Don't we all love a fancy fold for our cards!
The top view below gives a better view of the bay window fold. For my card I scored the front section at 3/8", 1 7/8", 3 5/8", 5 1/8" and 5 1/2". The card base is 11" x 5 1/2". I used Seaside Spray for my card base, but unfortunately, it is one of our colors that is retiring May 4th. Actually, any color you used would make this a beautiful card, too.
From this view, you can see I tucked my card front behind the sentiment to give the bay window affect.

The next picture reveals the inside of the card.
If you would like a free, complete tutorial for this card, please click on the box below and it's yours!

Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you'll come back. Please visit all the fabulous demonstrators' blogs by clicking on their names below.
