Christmas Cards Classes Next Week!

Hi, Fellow Card Makers!
Do you have all your Christmas cards made yet? Only a couple of more months until they'll have to go in the mail. Next week I'm holding my next to the last Christmas Cards class. All you need to bring are you adhesives, a snack to share, and your scissors.  The cost of the class is $20 or free with a $30 order, and includes envelopes and printed instructions. You'll be making 6 cards, 2 of each design. The schedule is as follows:
Thursday, October 8th at Noon
Saturday, October 10th at Noon
Sunday, October 11th at 2:00
These are the beautiful cards we'll be making:
The first card is made with the new poinsettia dies.
The next card is one of the new slimline style cards.

The third card is a shadow-box-style card made with the Detailed Dove die set and the Celebration Labels Dies.

Pick your day and let me know you're coming!

Prized Peony for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Hop

Hi, Everyone!
First, I want to say I'm so excited to be participating in the Top Ten International Highlights Winners Blog Hop September, 2020, hosted by Kylie Bertucci! I earned this honor with my card, Birds and Branches Z-Fold Card, placing in the top 10 of Kylie's September 2020 International Highlights. Thank you to everyone who voted for my card!

The theme for our cards is thank you, and what better time than now to say a great big Thank You to everyone who has done their part in making our world a safer place. Now on to my card.

The focal point of my card is the beautiful Stampin' Up!®  Peony Die set. I cut mine out of the Perennial Essence Petal Pink Vellum, but it would also be beautiful cut from Petal Pink cardstock. As you can see below, I backed the Peony with a vellum doily that I sponged with Misty Moonlight ink then colored over with Wink of Stella. The Wink of Stella seemed to act as a sealant, as the ink didn't want to set on the vellum.
Behind the peony and vellum I added a piece of Whisper White card stock embossed with one of the Greenery Embossing Folders.

The fold on this card is not the standard fold. I scored the 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Misty Moonlight card base at 1 1/2" and 5 3/4". The front Misty Moonlight piece is 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" and the Whisper White piece is 3 1/4" x 4". I rounded the right-side corners with the versatile Detailed Trio Punch.
To add a little glitz and glimmer, I  cut a strip of Balmy Blue Glimmer paper with the scallop-strip die from the Peony Die Set. The leaves were cut with dies from the Forever Flourish Die Set.

I hope you like the card I created and be sure to check out all the amazing creations the other blog hop participants have created. Take a look at the list below to see who's next, after me, Robbie Susan Chandler.
