Wishes and Wonder Slimline Card

Hi, Everyone!

I've made this gorgeous Wishes and Wonder Thank You card that could be given to someone who has made or is making your holiday season special.

Now on to the details for making this card. 

This card is a slimline card and fits perfectly in a regular letter size envelope. My base is 9" by 8" and I scored it at 4" on the 8" side, therefore having the finished size of the card 4" by 9".

The art piece was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock and is 8 1/2" x 3 3/4". I embossed the left side with the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder then flipped the paper over and embossed the other side. The folder actually covers about three-fourths of the sheet leaving one-fourth to emboss when you flip it over. It does leave a crease there, so I covered it with a tree cut out of Mossy Meadow using the tree die from Majestic Mountain. I cut 2 and adhered the second one behind the sleigh. 

The trees were sponged with Mossy Meadow and the the sky with Balmy Blue. The deeper the colors are sponged, the more the trees pop.

The reindeer were cut from the Bronze Brushed Metallic foil. I felt the brushed foil gave them more of an antique look to match the theme of the card.

The sleigh was stamped on Merry Merlot with VersaMark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The sleigh and deer were cut with the coordinating dies from the North Pole Wonder dies.

The snowbank was cut out of Very Vanilla with the curved die from Freezin' Friends die. The Frost White Shimmer paint gives it a snowy look.

Gold cording was used to harness the reindeer to the sleigh. Poinsettia Petals stamp set has the perfect thank you sentiment. I stamped it in Merry Merlot on Very Vanilla and cut it with a die from Snow Time. I adhered it to the upper right corner.
