Hi, Crafty Happy People!
I've made this gorgeous Welcoming Window Thank You card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. This means I'm asking you to vote for me so I can participate in her Top 10 Blog Hop! CLICK HERE TO VOTE! Look for entry #16.
Now let's talk about this card. Thanking someone for a gesture you're thankful for will be easy with a card this beautiful, and, yes, it does fold up to fit in an envelope. The nice part is that this card is easy to assemble, once your pieces are cut.
The card base is Thick White scored at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4". That forms the base. I'm going to show you some close-ups of elements of this card, but instead of getting into a lot of details, I'll give you a link to a complete instruction sheet.
I decided to add a white picket fence going around the house. The fence die from Garden Gateway works perfectly for the effect I wanted.
I'm a cat lover (I own 5 cats), so I put a kitty looking in the window.
I also love to work in the yard and added all these lovely plants.
This side view shows the pieces I had to add to get this card to stand up like I wanted it to. I made a little curb/box to adhere my fence to. I also added another raised up strip behind the fence to help the wall of the house stand more erect.Remember I told it would fold flat to fit in an envelope? Well, here it is folded flat.
I hope you like my card and I appreciate you taking a minute to vote for it. Vote here!
