Christmas In July Elegantly Said for the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Hi, Crafty-Happy People!

Today I'm hopping with the Crafty Collaborations team, which is a global group of fellow Stampin' Up demonstrators. Blogs are a great way to check out a variety of awesome card ideas. So let's get hopping along.

Our theme today is Christmas in July, which is right on time for me as I am having my Christmas in July Card Classes the week of July 19th. Below is one of the cards my customers will make.

For the background, I stamped the flourish from Elegantly Said, twice, in VersaMark and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I also added some random dots using the same method. This flourish stamp is so elegant!

The poinsettias from the Poinsettias Petals Bundle transformed the card from everyday to Christmas. Cherry Cobbler for the poinsettias and the card base are a perfect contrast for the gold embossing powder.

Now I know you want to know how I extended the Elegant Tag punch. I cut a piece of Basic White 4" x 1 3/4". I pulled the card stock through the center of the punch and punched one end, then pulled the other end through and punched it. I stamped the sentiment from Perfectly Plaid in VersaMark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.
