Hi, Crafty People!
I've made this beautiful Thank You card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. This means I'm asking you to vote for me so I can participate in her Top 10 Blog Hop! CLICK HERE TO VOTE! Look for entry #11. Just click on the heart in the upper right-hand corner.
Now some details about this card. Thanking someone for a kind act you're thankful for will be easy with a card like this. You will be able to download a complete tutorial after all the pictures of the card.
I have just started playing with the Stampin' Up! Soft Pastels Assortment. In my in-person classes coming up the second week of January, my customers will use the Soft Pastels in a couple of way: applying to VersaMark and applying with a Blender Pen. On this card I used VersaMark to apply some of the pastels.
For the waves on the bottom of the background piece, I used the Gentle Waves stamp and stamped it on the bottom third of a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" piece of Basic White cardstock with VersaMark. I then swiped the Night of Navy pastel across the VersaMark and blended it in with a Blending Brush. A Q-Tip would work also.
The wavey background was achieved by using the Bark Embossing Folder after applying all the Soft Pastels colors.
To download a free tutorial for this card, click on the box below. Many of the supplies I used will be available January 4th when our new January-June Mini Catalog goes live. Some are available currently, and I have listed those below.
I hope you like my card and will take a minute to vote here for my card. Just click on the heart in the upper right-hand corner. Thank you so much!
