Hello and welcome to Fa La La Friday Holiday Projects! This is week 5 of 10 weeks. Each week I will post a holiday project with a free tutorial. This week's project is a card featuring the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set and Candy Canes Dies. I also have a short video for you showing how I crafted this card.

Below are several pictures of my card, after which you can view the video and download a free tutorial with instructions and measurements.

I started with a 11" x 4 1/4" piece of Real Red. A 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White was embossed with the Whimsical Woodland Embossing folder. I love to have a subtle design in the background of my card fronts.

Now the packing tape secret! I stamped my candy canes on Basic White in Real Red ink. Clear packing tape was adhered over the stamped images, then I cut them out with the coordinating dies! If you look closely at the picture below you can see the reflection off the clear tape. In person it looks like a real candy cane wrapped in cellophane.

Behind the candy canes are 2 spruce sprigs cut out of Evening Evergreen glimmer paper with dies from Decorated Pines. A piece of Ruffled Real Red ribbon was run through the sentiment piece that was cut with a die from the Candy Cane dies.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Santa Express Designer Series Paper with one of the Basic Borders dies and adhered it down the right side. I love those dies!
