Message in a Bottle Card for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights

Hello and welcome to my blog. I've made this beautiful thank you card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. I'm asking you to please vote for my card so I can participate in her Top 10 Blog Hop! CLICK HERE TO VOTE! Look for entry #6. Just click on the heart in the upper right-hand corner. It will turn red when you have voted.

The card I'm sharing with you today features the Message in a Bottle stamp set and punch. The card base is a 11" x 4 1/4" piece of Crumb Cake scored at 5 1/2". The artwork was stamped with the Oceanfront stamp set. The sky is Tahitian Tide, the water Azure Afternoon, and the sand Crumb Cake ink. This piece was cut with next to largest Countryside Corners die. I then stamped the bottle in Pecan Pie ink and the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel before I punched it out with the Vintage Bottle punch. After punching out the bottle, the grass was stamped in Shaded Spruce on the sides.

A Vintage Bottle Shaker Dome was inserted in the punched hole and the stamped sentiment adhered behind the bottle. This piece was then adhered to a piece of Pecan Pie card stock cut with the largest Countryside Corner die.

Pecan Pie ink was applied to the Twisted Rope Embossing Folder and a 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" piece of Crumb cake was embossed. To give a more even look, I smoothed the ink out with a blending brush.

To give you an idea of the difference between using ink on the embossing folder and not, look at the picture below. The piece on the left is with ink and on the right is without. Which do you like best?

The artwork was adhered to the Twisted Rope embossing folder. A piece of Natural Way Trim was adhered around the bottom of this piece and then adhered to the card front.

This is how I stamped the inside.

I now have a video showing how to make this card.
