Elegant Faux Book Card with the Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper

Hello and welcome to my blog! You're going to love this faux book card! The card looks just like a book from the front, then you open the front fold and realize it's a card. At the end of this post is a link for you to download a free tutorial with all the instructions and measurements and, also, a video showing the construction of this card. Here is the front of the card. This designer series paper makes a beautiful card front.

Here you can see where the card opens up.

I embossed the designer series paper with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder.

In the next two pictures you can see the 2 different dies I used from Delicate Framing dies cut out of Basic Beige cardstock. The corner pieces were one piece that I cut apart.

The sentiment from On Display was stamped in Mossy Meadow (the color of the card base) on Basic Beige and punched or cut with an oval. The fake pages were made with a 1/2" x 4 1/8' piece of Basic Beige embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. You could also just score it with a scoring tool giving a fake pages look. One end was rounded, then it was adhered to the card base. Next, I punched the right side with a 3/4" round punch.

The inside Basic Beige piece was punched on the corners with the Detailed Trio punch. The sentiment is from Prayers and Promises and the faint flower is from Fragrant Layers and stamped in Smoky Slate.

One last look at the front.
