Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series Paper Easel Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing an easal birthday card I made with the beautiful Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series Paper. At the end of this post is a link for you to download a free tutorial with all the instructions and measurements and, also, a video showing the construction of this card. Check it out. Links to all the supplies I used are also at the bottom. Let's look at a few details of this card.

Here is the front of the card lying flat. The top area is the Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series Paper cut with a die from the Bordered in Beauty Dies. This paper is fabulous, but what you can't experience from the picture is that all the white areas are a flocked or velvet paper. The bottom part is the Garden Texture Berry Burst Foil.

Here it is folded as an easel card.

This beautiful flower was cut with the Heirloom Boutique Dies out of the Pastels Shimmer Specialty Paper. The leaves were cut with a die from Help Me Grow out of the Velveteen Assortment Specialty paper. That paper has a flocked or velvet feel to it. The Lemon Lolly fern piece was cut out of the Pastels Shimmer Specialty Paper with a die from Fern & Floral. The pods were punched with the Bough Punch.

The stopper for the easel was cut with a die from Phrases & Frames, also out of the Berry Burst Garden Texture Berry Burst Foil. To achieve the deep impressions, our new Impression Plate has to be used. I demonstrate how to use it in my video. The sentiment is from Rolling Waves and stamped in Berry Burst.
