Fancy Fold Rustic Pumpkin for the Stamp 'N Blog Hop Spring/Fall Hop

Hello and welcome to the monthly Stamp ‘N Blog Hop. Today I am hopping with a talented group of demonstrators from all over the world. You have just arrived from Angela Kober. You are currently visiting Robbie Susan Chandler from Florida in the USA. Thank you for dropping by.

This month’s theme is all about fall or spring, depending which hemisphere you live in. In my case, we are hoping for fall soon, so I am sharing a fall card. My customers will make this card, and 2 others, at my In-Person classes coming up Sunday, September 25th and Thursday, September 29th.

My card is a fancy-fold card inspired by a swap I received at BackStage from Rolanda Patton. 

Instead of getting into the details of how to make this card, I am providing a link below the pictures for a free download of the tutorial.

Notice in the leaves in the picture below. I embossed some scraps of the rose gold foil, cut them out, then adhered them on top of the embossed leaves with dimensionals. I felt it gave the card more dimension.

Lake Sunset card for Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights

Hello and welcome to my blog. I've made this beautiful card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. You may be wondering about the picture at the top of my post. That's a picture my niece, Sara Chandler Mora, took of a beach she visited. I loved it so much, I decided to try to reproduce it with Stampin' UP! inks and stamps. Here are my results:

As you can see, I ended up with a lake scene instead of the beach. I started with a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Basic White. I placed a Post-It note 1 1/2" from the bottom and decided to work on the sky first. Starting from the Post-It, I blended Mango Melody ink then Daffodil Delight. On the right I blended Calypso Coral and Poppy Parade.

From the top left corner, I started blending in Pacific Point and to darken it I added Starry Sky. I few birds were added.

I reversed the Post-It, making sure a little of the Mango Melody was showing, and started blending in from each side with Pacific Point. Starry Sky was added in the same way, from each side. In the lighter middle section, I blended in Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.

The Post-It was turned back around to cover the bottom section. I stamped the trees from Mountain Air in Evening Evergreen several times across the Post-It then sponged a little to darken the ground. In case you wonder about the trees reflecting in the water, that was a happy little accident. The Evening Evergreen bled through my Post-It!!!

The frame was cut from Basic Black with the largest Deckled Rectangles die. Basic Black is also my card base and is 11" x 4 1/4". Links to all the supplies I used are listed below.

Next In-Person Classes Coming Up September 15th

Hello and welcome to my blog! My next In-Person Classes are coming up September 15th and 16th. Also, at the bottom of this post is my current class schedule through October. You will be making different cards each group of classes.

The cost for the class is $20 and includes 3 cards, envelopes, and printed instructions. All you need to bring are your scissors and adhesives. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, September 16th at 12:00

Let's take a look at the cards you'll be making.

This first card is the Christmas Card we'll be making. I used the Aspen Dies for the trees.

This next card is made with the Splendid Day Dies and designer series paper.

The last card is made with a technique where I stamped VersaMark on vellum and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then adhere black and white designer series paper to the back of the vellum. I love the look!
