Fractured Card Technique Thank You Card for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights Winners Hop

Hello and welcome to Kylie Bertucci's International Winners Blog Hop! Today I'm joining Kylie Bertucci and a group of very talented demonstrators for a blog hop around the world. I'm so excited to be participating in the Top Ten International Highlights Winners Blog Hop! I earned this honor with my card, Rustic Crate, which earned Fifth Place! I am honored that so many of you voted for my card.  Thank you so much.

This card that I'm sharing with you today is made using the fractured card technique. This is a technique that has been making its rounds around the internet lately. I started out with a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Shining Brightly Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Next, I stamped my sentiment on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in Night of Navy ink. I then cut this out with a die from Stylish Shapes dies and adhered it to the center of the designer series paper.

For this card, I cut 3/8" strips of gold foil. I'll show you 2 more samples at the end of my post where I used 1/4" strips. Place your first strips along the upper right edge of your sentiment and adhere down.

The next strip is adhered to the lower right side starting with the end of the strip next to the first strip.

The third strip is adhered to the lower left side of your sentiment, starting with the end of the strip up next to your second strip.

And, your last strip is adhered up against the upper left side of your sentiment.

Next, trim the edges on all sides of your designer series paper. I then adhered this piece to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Night of Navy folded in half.

For a little extra embellishment, I cut a butterfly out of gold foil with a die from Designer Tags.

As you can see, this is a simple card to make, and I hope you will give it a try.  I've provided links below to all the products I used.

Here are 2 other cards I have made using the fractured card technique. My customers will be making these cards at my next card classes.

Rustic Crate and Magical Meadow Designer Series Paper Double Flap Card for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights

Hello and welcome to my blog. I've made this beautiful thank you card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. I'm asking you to please vote for my card so I can participate in her Top 10 Blog Hop! CLICK HERE TO VOTE! Look for entry #12. Just click on the heart in the upper right-hand corner. It will turn red when you have voted.

The card I'm featuring is made with the Rustic Crate Dies and the lovely Magical Meadow Designer Series Paper. I am going to show you a selection of pictures of this card then provide you with a link to a free tutorial with all the dimensions and instruction. Also, I have included a video showing the construction of this card from beginning to end.

As you can see in the picture below, this card open on both sides, the circle and the side fold.

Here is a close up of the rustic crate. I used dies from the Magical Meadow die set to fill my crate. The crate was cut with paper from the Gone Fishing Designer Series Paper. I like the wood grain look of this paper, even though the dies emboss a wood grain in the front piece.

Below is a close up of the gorgeous paper and the Glossy Dots I used on the side flap.

Here is the inside. I embossed the Garden Green piece with the Distressed Bricks embossing folder.

More Details about the Monthly Crafty Toolbox

What is a Crafty Toolbox?

It's a collection of Stampin' Up! crafting supplies you'll need to complete your crafting projects! An assortment of current crafting supplies such as embellishments, ribbons, adhesives, spritzers, glue dots, water painter, daubers, Blender Pens, embossing powders, envelopes, etc. will be inside each kit. You  don’t know what you’ll get each month. It will be a happy surprise!

How often will I receive the Toolbox?

Each month you will receive an assortment of products valued at $20 or more.

Will there be any recurring products?

Yes, there are. What you WILL receive each month is one Blends Combo Pack (a different color each month) and a sheet of dimensionals (total $10 value). I’ll also send you one handmade card.

There is also another option. You can choose to receive an ink spot with the matching reinker instead of a Blends Combo. Yay, choices!!

How long am I obligated?

There is no obligation, BUT, for every 6 months you subscribe, you will receive a special gift valued at around $10. You can stop your subscription at any time.

How much does it cost?

This happy little toolbox is only $25, which includes $5 for shipping, so you’re getting $25 in supplies for $20! If you live locally and will pick up your Toolbox, then the cost is $20.

How do I pay?

Payment is by PayPal, check, or cash. If paying by check, your Toolbox will be mailed after your check clears.

What is the deadline to sign up each month?

Orders and payments need to be placed by the 15th of each month. Your Toolbox will be mailed around the 25th.

How do I sign up?

Click on the box below to fill out the form to sign up. You will need to pick the option to subscribe for 6 months or month to month. With either option, you will receive an invoice each month to pay for that month's Toolbox.
