Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a masculine birthday card I made with the Gears and Textures Bundle. At the end of this post is a link for you to download a free tutorial with all the instructions and measurements and, also, a video showing the construction of this card. Check it out. Links to all the supplies I used are also at the bottom. Let's look at a few details of this card.

Here is the front of the card. The card base is a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Early Espresso cardstock.

The front piece is a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whispers of Texture Designer Series Paper. It has a subtle texture in it that you can see in the picture above.

First, I stamped all the images from the Gears and Texture stamp set in Pecan Pie. The splatter looking dots are a stamp from Elements of Text and they were stamped in VersaMark, sprinkled with bronze embossing powder, and heated up.  I also swiped the edges with the VersaMark and heat embossed the bronze embossing powder.

Crumb Cake ink was brushed all over this piece to break the white and turn it to more of a Very Vanilla color.

To darken the edges, I brushed Early Espresso ink around the edges.

Lastly, I brushed Pecan Pie in the center of the images and randomly around. This piece was then adhered to the card base.

I cut the cogs, gears, and chains out of Earthen Metallic Specialty Paper and copper paper. I adhered them randomly on the card front.

I lightly stamped the front images, again, on the inside Very Vanilla piece, then stamped the sentiment from All Zipped Up in Early Espresso ink. This piece was cut with the largest die from Textured Notes.
