Embossing Folder Magic Technique #2 with Floral Spray Embossing Folder

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing a card made with a fun embossing folder technique! I'm using the Floral Spray embossing older. At the end of this post is a link for you to download a free tutorial with all the instructions and measurements and, also, a video showing the construction of this card. I suggest you check it out to see the transformation of the embossing folder. Links to all the supplies I used are also at the bottom. Let's look at a few details of this card. Here is the full front.

To achieve this look, first emboss a piece of Basic White with the Floral Spray Embossing Folder. Next, on the debossed side, the side that is indented, color the flowers and leaves as below. The flower is Dark Poppy Parade, the leaves Dark Old Olive, and the yellow is Dark Daffodil Delight.

Now, here is where the magic happens. Swirl a black ink, such as Memento Tuxedo Black ink or Secret Sea, all over this piece. The colored areas won't be affected, but all the white areas will turn black, highlighting the colored areas.

This is how I completed the inside. The sentiment is a retired set called Woven Heirloom. The flower is from Simple Beautiful and stamped in Soft Sea Foam.

Here's a close-up of the flower. I had cut the flower out with a die from Sweet Words and Labels, but decided it looked better without cutting it out.
