Embossing Magic Technique #3 with the Opulent Oasis Impression Die and Impression Plate

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing a card made with a fun embossing folder technique! I'm using the Opulent Oasis Impressions Die with the Impression Plate. There's also a fun inside slider for the sentiment!  At the end of this post is a link for you to download a free tutorial with all the instructions and measurements and, also, a video showing the construction of this card. I suggest you check it out to see how to use the new Impression Plate and the cool inside slider piece. Links to all the supplies I used are also at the bottom. Let's look at a few details of this card. 

Here is the full front. If you look closely, you can see I went a little crazy with embossing folders. I used Paradise Garden on the Poppy Parade background piece, Lazy Daisy on the Lemon Lolly scalloped piece and the flower, and, of course, the Opulent Oasis Impressions Die. To achieve the background colors, I stamped a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock with Poppy Parade ink with the retired Drybrush stamp. The embossing was next.

When you open up the card, this inside piece slides over, then back under the flap when you close it up.

Here's a close up the flower arrangement on the Lemon Lolly scalloped oval piece. There are several steps involved here, but you can see them all in my video.

This flap is adhered down just at the top and bottom.
