Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Mother's Day Cards

Hi, Crafty-Happy People!
Mother's Day is just around the corner, and I'm joining other demonstrators from all around the globe in a blog hop celebrating our Mothers. Unfortunately, my mother passed away many years ago, and that's the situation for many of my customers, so I always try to design my cards for other occasions, such as birthdays.

I CASE'd the idea for this card from another demonstrator, Angela Meyer. When I saw this card and the beautiful color combinations, I knew I had to make my version of it.
I started with a card base of Soft Seafoam, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", folded in half. Using a piece of Basic White, 4" x 5 1/4", I cut out the fern die from Forever Flourishing dies so the Soft Seafoam would show through. I then embossed it with the Subtle embossing folder and adhered it to my card base.

I also cut the other large fern from this die set from Soft Seafoam cardstock, brushed VersaMark across the tips, and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. This piece was adhered on top of the cut out fern.
I stamped 2 different foliage stamps from Forever Fern on Soft Seafoam with Rich Razzleberry ink, and cut with the coordinating die. After adhering the gold hoop with mini glue dots, I arranged the foliage and butterfly in the bottom left-hand corner. The butterflies were stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

On the inside, I added a little interest with one of the dies from the Curvy Dies.

I hope you like my Mother's Day card, and if you live close to Quincy, Florida, USA, you can make this card at one of my next card classes starting April 22nd. Now hop on over to the next demonstrator on the list below and check out all the fabulous projects!
