Daffodil Daydreams for the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. This is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who share our love of card making with you through monthly blog hops. The challenge this month is a sketch challenge, and the sketch is pictured below.
Here's is my interpretation of this sketch:

I started with a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic Black cardstock. I then adhered a piece of 2" x 5 1/4" piece of designer series paper from the Sale-A-Bration pack Daffodil Afternoon. Next, I adhered another piece from the same pack that was 4 1/4" x 2". I then embossed this piece with Timeworn Embossing folder.

To give it a distressed look, I brushed Crumb Cake over this whole piece with a Blending Brush.

This piece was adhered to an 11" x 4 1/4" card base of Mossy Meadow. The daffodils were cut with the dies from Daffodil Dies set. Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight were the 2 colors used. Strappy leaves were cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock.

The daffodils were adhered to a piece of Old Olive cardstock that was cut with a die from Hippo and Friends. I also embossed this piece with one of the embossing folders from the Meadow Moments set. This piece was adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Blossoms in Bloom and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Old Olive and cut with a die from Bouquet of Love Embossing Folder and Die set. A butterfly from the Daffodil Dies was added to represent the circle on the sketch.

A sentiment from Back on your feet was used to complete the inside, along with a daffodil stamp.

I hope you are inspired by my card and will give it a try. To continue along the hop, click on the image below to see the great project our next demonstrator has made to awe you. I know you will like it.

January and February are Sale-A-Bration months!! What does that mean, you ask? Well, I'm glad you asked, because it means that for every $50 increments in your order, you can receive free Sale-A-Bration items, like the designer series paper I used today. There are special products available when your order is $100!

Wait, there's more! If you would like to join my team or become a discount shopper, Stampin' Up! has added an extra incentive. Along with receiving $125 for $99 (no shipping fee, just tax added), you also will receive 2 extra stamp sets of your choice from any current stamp sets. Wow!! So, click here to join my team!
