Double-Dutch Fold Tulips for the Floral Stampin Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampin Dreams Blog Hop! Our theme today is florals, which is right down my line, as I love to work with florals. I went bright today with Polished Pink! My card fold is one I haven't ever made before - Double-Dutch Fold - and there is a complete tutorial on Splitcoststampers under the tutorial section.

My card base is a 4 3/16" x 9" piece of Thick Basic White cardstock scored at 5 1/2". On the top front flap, I adhere a piece of Polished Pink cardstock cut with the third from largest die from Scalloped Contours Dies. This piece and the 2 small Polished Pink rectangles (2" x 1 7/8") were embossed with the Ornate Flowers Embossing folder.

The focal Basic White piece was cut with a die from Hippo and Friends Dies and embossed with the Stripes embossing folder from the Stripes and Splatters Embossing Folder set.

The tulips were created with the Tulips Dies and the 2021-2023 InColor Shimmer Vellum. As you can see from the picture below, the Dutch doors support the top front flap creating the suggestion of an easel card. A few 2021-2023 InColor Jewels were added. The sentiment is from the Celebrating You stamp set and was cut with a die from Waves Dies.

The picture below demonstrates the easel look with the doors open.

I hope you like my card and would like to recreate it. I have supplied links below to the supplies used to make it.
