Hello and welcome to my blog. I've made this beautiful thank you card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. I'm asking you to please vote for my card so I can participate in her Top 10 Blog Hop! The card I'm featuring is made with the Lazy Days Bundle (stamp set and coordinating dies) along with the frame from the Gone Fishing Dies. There is an instruction sheet you can download at the end of my post and also a video tutorial.
The card base is Basic Black 11" x 4 1/4" and the frame cut from a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece. Let's take a look at the individual sections on the card front. All of the stamps were stamped with Early Espresso ink. In the upper left-hand section is the bird stamp. I colored it with the Light Balmy Blue Blend.
Beside that section in the upper right-hand section is this hanging planter. I colored the pot with the Light Cherry Cobbler Blend and the leaves with the Light Mossy Meadow Blend. A strip of the Victorian Trim cut out of Basic White was adhered behind the frame of these upper 2 sections. Pool Party was lightly blended in the upper center of the Basic White background piece (4" x 5 1/4").
The bottom right-hand section houses the rocking chair that was colored with a Dark Crumb Cake Blend.
In the bottom left-hand section, I sat the barrel planter with leaves. The planter was colored with the Bronze Blend and the leaves with Dark Mossy Meadow. Both bottom sections have the chair rail adhered behind the black frame. I also stamped the wood-panels stamp in Gray Granite for the porch floor. To finish off the black frame, I added 2 leaf branches cut from Mossy Meadow.
In the center section is where I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black. I also sponged a little Pool Party around it.
Inside I stamped the Victorian trim to add a little interest.
