Hello and welcome to my blog! This is Card #1 in a three-card series featuring stamping with Saran Wrap. You're going to love this technique, and as an added bonus, I'll show you how to make a sea gull fancy-fold. You can download a free tutorial and I also have a YouTube video with all the instructions.
Below is the card folded up to go into an envelope. The Saran Wrap stamping technique is shown on the front square panel. I used Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis for all my colors except for a little Parakeet Party on the front.
This view is the card with the outer sections folded out.
This view is it fully extended out.
This view shows the back and the placement of my sentiment.
To make this front panel, which is 4" x 4", wad up a piece of plastic wrap, dab it on your ink pad, and then pounce it around on your cardstock. I used Orchid Oasis first, then followed up with Starry Sky.
To make the card base, cut 2 pieces of Thick Basic White 4 1/4" x 8 1/4" then score at 2 1/4", 4", ad 6 1/4". The numbers on the pieces below indicate how wide each section is. First, you lay the two pieces with the 2" sections next to each other.
Fold the outside sections under (mountain fold).
The next sections fold in as a valley fold.
Fold the inner 2 sections back onto the cardstock. My video explains this clearer. Place the 2 folded sides next to each other and hold in place with a piece of tape.
Next, adhere the 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square on the 2 folded back sections. The piece with the Saran Wrap stamping on it is adhered to the middle of the 4 1/4" square piece.
This is what the card looks like from the top.
On the front, I cut the leaf and flower dies with the Timeless Arrangements Dies. Below are the pieces I cut and how I adhered them together.
I adhered those pieces behind my sentiment and used dimensionals to attach it to the card front.
For the outside pieces I cut two 2" x 4" pieces out of the 2022-2024 In Color Textured Specialty Starry Sky Paper and cut the edges with a die from Darling Details. For the next side pieces, I cut two 1 1/2" x 4" pieces out of the 2022-2024 In Color Textured Specialty Orchid Oasis Paper and embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
