Hi, Crafty People,
Today I'm hopping along with a group of talented demonstrators from around the world, who are participating in Kylie and Bruno's Demonstrator Training program.
Our theme is thank you cards, and I have designed my card around the Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper. I love easel cards because they are so easy to make and give a Wow, and this one is the reverse easel style.
I started with an 11" x 4 1/4" Basic Gray card base scored at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4". For the inside of the card, a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Smoky Slate was cut with the Stitched Greenery die. This die is lovely and makes a beautiful background.
I adhered a piece of 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" silver foil that was die cut with a die from the Encircled in Beauty die set to a 3 3/4" square piece of Basic Gray. On this piece was adhered a doily cut with another die from Encircled in Beauty out of the beautiful Rose Gold Metallic Specialty paper. This piece is the piece that forms the stand for the easel, so I adhered it to the bottom front section folded up, not down.
As you can see from the picture below, the bottom scored section is folded backwards instead of forward like most easel cards.
The sentiment was stamped on a piece of Blushing Bride and cut with a die from the Ornate Frames die set. I adhered it to the bottom of the inside with dimensionals so it serves as a stopper for the easel.
