Scalloped Wishes and Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Series Paper Paired for a Beautiful Side-Easel Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made with the Scalloped Wishes Dies and the beautiful Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Series Paper. The design is a side-easel fold. At the end of this post is a link for you to download a free tutorial with all the instructions and measurements and, also, a video showing the construction of this card. Check it out. Links to all the supplies I used are also at the bottom. Let's look at a few details of this card.

Here is the front of the card. Let me give you some details about this front. I used Barely Blush cardstock 5 ½” x 8 ½” (score at 4 ¼” on the long side, then turn and cut one side at 2 ¾” to the score line (see diagram on the free tutorial) and score one of the cut sides at 2 ⅛”.

Fold the card base on the score line. Adhere the unscored right front down to the back part, leaving the left scored side free. Fold the left side into an easel. Adhere the Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Series Paper to the front sections.

Cut the scallop out of gold foil with the dies from Scalloped Wishes dies and adhere to the bottom part of the left easel side. Cut the leaves out of the 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Specialty Paper Peaceful Pine and adhere to the left side of the scallop. Cut 3 flowers out of the same paper, but use the Barely Blush and Crisp Cantaloupe colors, and adhere to the left side of the scallop. Pearls finish off the flowers.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder on Barely Blush cardstock. It was cut with a die from Scalloped Wishes. The wings of the dragonfly were cut out of the white Sunset Shimmer Vellum and adhered to a gold foil body.

The stopper for the easel was cut out of Barely Blush with a die from Fern and Floral. 3 more Crisp Cantaloupe flowers were adhered to this piece. Adhere the stopper with dimensionals to raise it up.

A die from Branching Out was used to cut a Basic White piece. The sentiment from Paper Tags stamps was stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe ink.
