Fern-&-Floral-Embossing-Folder-Technique-Stampin-Up

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing a card made with a fun embossing folder technique! I'm using the Fern and Floral embossing older. Also, the inside has an interesting pop-up mechanism. At the end of this post is a link for you to download a free tutorial with all the instructions and measurements and, also, a video showing the construction of this card. I suggest you check it out to get a full understanding of the inside mechanism and the see the transformation of the embossing folder. Links to all the supplies I used are also at the bottom. Let's look at a few details of this card. Here is the full front.

The first step is to emboss a piece of Basic White with the Fern & Floral Embossing folder.

Next, I swiped a Mossy Meadow ink pad all over the embossed piece on the debossed side. That way the ferns remain white. If you swiped over the embossed side, the ferns become Mossy Meadow. You can see me do this step in the video below. The ferns were cut out of Mossy Meadow with dies from the Fern & Floral bundle.

Here is the inside. The sentiment is from So Sincere, but I also used one from Phrases & Frames.

Here is a side view of the mechanism. Instead of trying to explain it, please just watch the video.
