On Display Bundle the Christmas Version!

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I want to share a beautiful and unique card made with the On Display Bundle. This bundle was designed as a bookcase with books and trinkets in it, but I decided to decorate it for Christmas! At the end of this post is a link for you to download a free tutorial with all the instructions and measurements and, also, a video showing the construction of this card. Here is the front of the card. The white bookcase die is from the On Display Bundle. I put a piece of Basic White 3 1/2" x 4 7/8'" embossed with the Timber Embossing folder behind the bookcase.

I'm going to go through each of the sections of the bookcase with you to tell you where the pieces came from. Some of them are retired and some aren't Stampin' Up! The red, white, and green cardstock pieces are from our All Season Velvet Specialty Paper. The leaves below are from a retired punch called Holly Border. The bow is a non-Stampin' Up! punch I found in my punch drawer. The bear was cut out of brown play foam with a die from the retired Rocking Horse dies. The bow is from that set also.

The tree is cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock with a die from the retired Regal Reindeer Bundle. The pot is actually from the On Display dies. Rhinestones add a bling.

The bird cage, which I decided to use as a lantern, is also from the On Display Bundle. All the gold and Cherry Cobble paper is from the Seasons of Elegance Specialty Paper pack. The candle is the water bottle from the Notes and Totes dies and also the flame on the candle is a die in that set. The bow and holly are from Rocking Horse dies.

All of these pieces are from the On Display dies, except the bow that is from the Rocking Horse dies and the holly leaf from the Holly Border punch. The present is just a small rectangle. The white square is the piece that was cut out of that section and embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder. Red and White Peppermint Embellishments were used in several places.

The Merry Christmas, from Regal Reindeer stamp set, was stamped in Cherry Cobbler on the piece that was cut out of this section. The hat was punched from a retired Santa Hat punch.

The inside was stamped with a sentiment from Words for the Season and the tree is from Regal Reindeer. A Basic White piece was cut with a die from Textured Notes. I love the way it adds a decorative border around the edge.

I found it worked better if you build the bookcase first, adhere it to your card base, then put the decorative piece at the top on. That way you can make sure it fits on your card front.
